Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
The Journal of Illiza Research and Studies (JIRS) is committed to
maintaining the highest standards of peer review to ensure the quality,
integrity, and originality of all published research.
REVIEW SYSTEM
The journal operates a strict double-blind peer review system in which
both the authors' and reviewers' identities are kept completely anonymous
throughout the entire evaluation process.
REVIEW PROCESS STEPS
1. Initial Screening
Upon submission, all manuscripts are first reviewed by the editorial
team to ensure they meet the journal's scope, formatting requirements,
and basic quality standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria
are desk-rejected without being sent for peer review.
2. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts passing the initial screening are subjected to a
plagiarism check to ensure originality and academic integrity.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to a minimum
of two independent expert reviewers. Both authors and reviewers remain
anonymous throughout the process.
4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers' feedback, the editor makes one of the following
decisions:
- Accept without changes
- Accept with minor revisions
- Accept with major revisions
- Reject
5. Revision Stage
Authors whose manuscripts require revisions are given two weeks to
make the required modifications in accordance with reviewers' comments
and resubmit the revised manuscript. Failure to meet this deadline
will result in final rejection.
6. Final Decision
The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based
on the reviewers' recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
REVIEW TIMELINE
The journal aims to complete the review process within 4 to 8 weeks
from the date of submission.
