Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement
The Journal of Illiza Research and Studies (JIRS) is committed to
maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes
all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement
is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics
(COPE).
DUTIES OF THE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
- Ensure fair and unbiased evaluation of all submitted manuscripts
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Avoid conflicts of interest
- Correct errors and retractions when necessary
- Preserve the integrity of the academic record
DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
- Provide objective and fair scientific evaluation
- Maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
- Declare any conflicts of interest
- Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe
- Provide constructive feedback to improve manuscript quality
- Refuse to review manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists
DUTIES OF AUTHORS
- Submit only original unpublished work
- Ensure accuracy of all data and results
- Avoid all forms of plagiarism
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Ensure fair authorship attribution
- Obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted material
PLAGIARISM
The journal uses plagiarism detection software to screen all
submitted manuscripts. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarized
content will be immediately rejected. If plagiarism is discovered
after publication, the article will be retracted.
DUPLICATE SUBMISSION
Simultaneous submission of a manuscript to more than one journal
is not permitted. If duplicate submission is discovered, the
manuscript will be immediately rejected or retracted.
AUTHORSHIP
Only individuals who have made a significant scientific contribution
to the research should be listed as authors. Honorary or guest
authorship is not permitted. Any changes to authorship after
submission must be approved by all authors and the editorial board.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial,
personal, or professional relationships that could influence their
work. Disclosed conflicts of interest will be published alongside
the article.
CORRECTIONS AND RETRACTIONS
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the
academic record. If errors are identified in published articles,
corrections will be published promptly. Articles may be retracted
if they contain fabricated data, plagiarism, or other serious
ethical violations.
ALLEGATIONS OF MISCONDUCT
Any allegations of publication misconduct will be investigated
thoroughly in accordance with COPE guidelines. Authors, reviewers,
and editors found to have engaged in misconduct will be banned
from future participation in the journal.
